2018 Raboso Piave D.O.C.

DESCRIPTION: Ruby red wine with garnet hues. The grapes are left to over-ripe on the vine for a short period of time to then further macerate for 12 days in oak barrels. The wine ages 12 months in Slavonian oak barriques and is not released until a few months later.

The bouquet is spectacular, presenting pronounced aromas of dark berries, black cherry, vanilla, leather, tobacco and violet.

Dry, austere and astringent palate, well structured with acidity and tannins pleasantly smoothed by the alcoholic strength.

Raboso is an ancient wine, grown in the Piave River valley of the Veneto region before the time of the Roman Empire.

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: aged cheese, pappardelle with ragù and red meat in general.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18°C

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%

WINE STORAGE: Between 12 and 16°C, away from direct sources of light, avoiding excessively dry conditions.
